Nothing is worth more than this day.

Goethe

Morning light on the kitchen table.

Rituals

The first coffee, the same chipped mug, ten quiet minutes before anyone else is awake.

Fresh flowers, every Friday.

The reading corner

An armchair by the window, a stack of library books, a blanket for colder evenings. The best seat in the house.

Sunday baking.

Golden hour, living room.

Seasonal table

Squash from the market, bread from the corner bakery and a candle that always burns down too fast.

A walk, without a destination.

Slow down, and everything you are chasing will come around and catch you.

John De Paola

Evening tea.

Rain on the window.

Home

Not a place so much as a feeling — and these are the days that make it.
